Juicy, sweet and well-known for their concentration of vitamin C, oranges make the perfect snack and add a special twist to many recipes.

It is no wonder that they are one of the most popular fruits in the world. Oranges are generally available from winter through summer with seasonal variations depending on the variety.

Oranges are round citrus fruits with finely-textured skins that are, of course, orange in color just like their pulpy flesh; the skin can vary in thickness from very thin to very thick. Oranges usually range from approximately two to three inches in diameter.

Valencia Late is an excellent variety for juice with an outstanding and balanced sweetness. Its size is medium to large with a round to oval shape. The texture of the skin is fine, the peel is thin and the colour is orange. The fruits are usually seedless or with only a few seeds. The colour of the flesh is bright orange, which results to a deep orange colour juice, of rich flavour and aroma. The content of the juice is over 60%.

Navel oranges have the distinctive feature of having a small secondary fruit embedded in the apex of the primary fruit. Navels are the earliest maturing of the orange varieties, producing seedless fruit. The size of the fruit is larger than most of the others with a sweet flavour and deep orange easy peeled rinds.

  • Good source of Thiamin, which is used by the body to produce energy from carbohydrates in all cells in the body. It is a water-soluble vitamin so you just excrete whatever your body doesn't use in urine.

  • Vitamin C plays a vital role in the formation of collagen, the support system of your skin
  • 100% orange juice provides a variety of vitamins and minerals and is fat free, saturated fat free, sodium free, cholesterol free and free from added sugars.
